In the beginning God created gratuity... and then the Mexicans came and fucked it all up! Nah seriously I'm not racist! Awww hell, who am I kidding? Lemme just put it out there that I'm not a big fan of Asians, pinche Mexicans, fucking Germans, Canadians, bloody Brits, Siberian huskies, French bordeaux’s, or Scandinavian mango trees ..... THAT DON'T TIP!

In my years I have served in the US Air Force, went to college for Radio TV and Film, worked as a Corporate Event Planner and was a wine expert at a gourmet market. In my mid 30's I decided to focus on screenwriting for a living since I have 3 feature length scripts in the works. The problem is... nobody knows who I am or how good my scripts are, so I can't just start collecting a paycheck for that. After talking it over with a few people I decided to bartend as a means of income since I know more than I will ever need to know about fermented liquids.
I started looking on craigslist for bartending gigs and went on a few interviews, but none of these places seemed to fit my personality. I am a very chill person, witty, upbeat, and eclectic but genuinely very nice to people. I love talking to people and helping them! I can turn on a dime though…

I was finally introduced to a guy that had just opened up a little bar in San Antonio’s art district who was looking for someone to manage it. When I went to check the place out I fell in love with the spot! The Pedicab Bar and Grill, a specialty beer bar in the historic and ultra hip King William/Southtown area of San Antonio.
The exact location of the bar is quite interesting. Directly north of the bar is the Southtown strip sprinkled with art galleries and super cool shops and ultra hip restaurants. To the west is the King William district, a residential area with historic estates settled by the rich Germans who came to San Antonio in the mid 1800’s. These manors are inhabited mainly by middle upper class folks (doctors, lawyers etc…). To the east of the bar are more historic homes but much smaller and just now being restored. These are mainly rental houses and the tenants are mostly young people, a lot of artists, waiters, musicians and young families. Due south of the little bar is the “SOUTHSIDE”! San Antonio’s Southside may as well be its own state! I don’t want to categorize it in ANY way since I am not writing this in anonymity. They are very passionate proud, family oriented folks **COUGH(blue collar)** who love their Bud (pronounced butt) Light, Spurs and tacos.
